Have a hot pair of shoes you’ve been dying to show off? Well, on August 27th, DiningOut Magazine’s Shoes and Brews will be held at Writer Square from 5 – 8pm, bringing Denver complimentary beer, wine, and restaurant tastings; a variety of entertainment; and best of all, the most fashion-forward shoes of 2011!

The Collective Events and Kevin Larson Presents will be giving away gift certificates for over $1,000 in the best shoes in the following categories:

Steve Madden will also be rewarding one lucky footwear fanatic with a year’s worth of free shoes before the event. To enter the contest, simply take a photo of your most fashion-forward kicks and submit the picture here. The top three contestants will win 2 free VIP Tickets to the Event, and judges will vote on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The winner receive the Steve Madden Year of Shoes grand prize.

In addition to a plethora of shoes, attendees will enjoy unlimited beers and wine, as well as gourmet treats prepared by Café Colore, BurgerCo, Venga Venga, Tewksbury & Co., Sushi Han, Rio Grande, Cholon, Crepes ‘n Crepes, Edge, Kuulture, Rise & Shine, and La Sandia.

The block party will be held between 15th and 16th streets, and Larimer and Lawrence, featuring multiple live bands, DJs, and other various performers. Jeff Brinkman and DJ Mada are two of the big names that will be in attendance.

All proceeds of the event will benefit Love Hope Strength, the world’s leading rock n’ roll cancer foundation. Instead of funding cancer research, Love Hope Strength uses funds to build and support cancer centers around the world, build awareness of cancer needs through film and music, and build international marrow databases through their “Get on the List” campaign. Everyone at Shoes and Brews will have the opportunity to save a life by signing up to be a marrow donor at the event.
